Candace L. Sneed

Candace is a non practicing attorney, coach, Ayurvedic nutritionist, and 500-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) with over 1,000 teaching hours. A stroke survivor, master’s Olympic weightlifter, and lifelong student of yoga, she is passionate about helping others tap into their inner strength and surpass their own expectations. Her philosophy is simple: Thrive where and as you are. Cultivate strength and confidence despite your body, emotions, age, or perceived limitations.

Candace’s yoga journey began in 2016 when she first stepped into a studio and immediately felt like she didn’t belong. As a Black woman with curves, she did not see herself reflected in the room. Yet, despite feeling like an uncoordinated interloper, she pressed on, modifying poses to suit her body. What started as a challenge quickly became a lifestyle, offering her both physical and emotional sanctuary from the pressures of working as a consumer rights attorney.

That sanctuary became even more vital when she suffered a stroke. She used her yoga practice—and her work as a full-time instructor—as a tool for recovery, rebuilding her brain, memory, speech, cognitive abilities, hearing, balance, and confidence. As a byproduct of rewiring her brain through yoga teaching, she cultivated a mastery of cueing and sequencing, allowing her to guide students with clarity, precision, and accessibility. Her personal experience solidified her passion for making yoga available to all communities, helping students cultivate awareness, connection, and strength in their own bodies.

Candace’s classes are known for their intentional sequencing and empowering approach. She teaches meditation, Vinyasa, Power, Sculpt, Ashtanga, SlowFlow, Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra. Often described as “Yoga for Adult Athletes,” her teaching challenges students both mentally and physically, encouraging resilience, focus, and strength on and off the mat.

As a LifePower Faculty Member and founding yoga instructor at LifeTime Buckhead and LifeTime North Druid Hills, Candace plays a role in shaping yoga programming and teacher development. She leads a 100-hour Yin Yoga teacher training, a 200-hour yoga teacher training, and a 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training. She is also the creator of Abundant, an eight-part yoga teacher development program designed to help teachers deepen their practice, refine their skills, and expand their impact.

Beyond the studio, Candace curates international wellness retreats and offers coaching and consulting for small business owners, yoga instructors, and creatives navigating the intersection of business, law, yoga, and wellness. She is also a passionate speaker, sharing her expertise on yoga education, DEI in wellness spaces, and business strategies for instructors and studio owners.

“Here’s what I love about practicing with Candace - she has a deep richness to her voice (which resonates in my lower chakras) and a no-nonsense, spot-on cue delivery - and she makes me feel like I can accomplish anything after I walk off my mat.”
